| Description | The Traveling Lab is an experimental platform for design, research, and making. It emerged as a tool to rethink salvaged materials within the context of Palestine, where resources are scarce. Evolving as a space for documenting design experimentation, the lab aims to create an Atlas of Materials—a collection inspired by innovative spatial practices developed in collaboration with local communities. It proposes a framework for gathering and assembling design components and materials to support self-build initiatives in Palestine. The work is part of our research by design initiative to cultivate spatial change. Part of the experimental lab was tested to create a demountable mobile clinic. |
