Abstract

Models of creative arts leadership.

This edition explores different models of leadership and governance that are used in creative arts by peak bodies and representative groups who support and pursue positive change in the tertiary sector. The intertwined connections between academia, “industry” and practice that are inherent in creative arts education and research suggests that the traditional scholarly academy model favoured by other academic disciplines may not be the most suitable. Are there best practice models or features from the broader arts community that DDCA and other peak bodies could draw upon to improve delivery, advocacy and representation?

This edition features advice and experience from a range of leaders across the broad creative arts community.
