Description

On June 24, the University of Westminster hosted an event to continue the conversation around Refugee Week and World Refugee Day, welcoming students, staff, and the public. The event, sponsored by the university’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programme, featured several UK organisations supporting refugees and asylum seekers. The highlight was a panel discussion where individuals with refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds, including Chef Yogeswaran Sivakolundu, Influencer Amanda Kamanda, baker Halimot Ogunnaike, and Councillor Faith Gakanje-Ajala, shared their inspiring journeys from personal hardship to entrepreneurial success.
