Description

The University of Westminster hosted the inaugural Sanctuary at Westminster launch, a "Sip & Paint" afternoon dedicated to supporting the refugee and displaced student community. In collaboration with the World in Westminster series and CETI, the event used creative expression to foster a sense of belonging and connect diverse cultures through art and conversation.

Beyond the refreshments, the afternoon marked the beginning of a vital partnership. Students were encouraged to form a new STAR (Student Action for Refugees) group to ensure future initiatives remained student-led. Attendees shared stories, networked with partners like REUK and Breaking Barriers, and helped shape the university’s inclusive vision.
