Abstract | Master Data Management (MDM) aims to increase the quality of core business process data by having a single managed repository. Like any other information integration projects, there are failures in the implementation of MDM. Several main causes of failures in MDM implementation are related to a missing data quality process, for ex-ample, a lack of proactive data quality monitoring. An important phase in the data quality process is the measurement phase that exercises the data quality metrics. The main objective of this paper is to develop a business-oriented data quality framework in the era of big data that will be linked directly to business process performance as part of an online analytical mining framework? (2) How appropriate is the framework for a practical case? Here we consider the case of Oil & Gas industry sector in Libya in the domain of Mellitah Oil & Gas (MOG). |
