Abstract

Bu makalenin amacı, göç, ulusaşırı topluluk ve entegrasyon kavramları ışığında, Britanya ’da yaşayan Alevi toplumunun yerleşim ve kendini tarif etme biçimleri ile kuşaklararası farklılıkları sosyolojik bir çerçevede analiz etmektir. Bunu yaparken önce Alevi genç kuşaklarının yaşadığı kimlik sorunları, buna bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan intihar, çeteleşme gibi problemleri tartışacağım. Daha sonra bu sorunlara bir çözüm arayışı olarak Westminster Üniversitesi, Britanya Alevi Federasyonu (BAF), kimi ilkokul ve ortaokulların yaptığı işbirliği ile geliştirilip uygulanan ‘İngiltere’de Din ve Kimlik Projesi’ne odaklanacağım. Son olarak Britanya’daki Alevilerin son yıllarda elde ettikleri kazanımlara değineceğim. Bu yazıdaki çözümlemeler, doktora çalışmam için 2009-2013 yılları arasında yürüttüğüm etnografik araştırmanın verilerine ve meslektaşım Dr Celia Jenkins ile 2010 yılında Britanya’da yasayan Alevilerle yaptığımız çeşitli projeler için topladığımız verilere dayanmaktadır.
