Abstract | The purpose of Deliverable 2.4 is to investigate the extent to which urban freight initiatives are likely to bring about more sustainable urban freight transport, especially in relation to the European Commission’s vision of essentially CO2-free city logistics in major urban centres by 2030. Deliverable 2.4 is concerned with assessing the potential of urban freight initiatives involving behaviour change, including those implemented in the CITYLAB project and comparing and contrasting their potential to reduce carbon emissions from urban freight transport operations with technological change to vehicles and fuels that may emerge over this timescale. |
