Abstract

Why are higher-order MCQs important?
Large student numbers (efficient) – more traditional forms are labour intensive – MCQs can be computer-marked if they are well set up.
Mainly PG (higher order),
Cheating – 44.7 % of students cheat if they get the chance (and they do)
AI (meaning ‘traditional’ forms of assessment are extremely vulnerable to misconduct)
