Preface It is a great privilege for us to present the proceedings of ICIM2017 to the authors and delegates of the event. We hope that you will find it useful, exciting and inspiring. ICIM2017 aims to provide a platform for discussing the issues, challenges, opportunities and findings of information management (IM) research. The ever-changing scope and rapid development of IM create new problems and questions, resulting in the real needs for sharing brilliant ideas and stimulating good awareness of this important research field. We promise to produce a bright picture and charming landscape for IM, while the support received and the enthusiasm witnessed have truly exceeded our expectations. Therefore, on the day of completion of this journey, we are delighted with a high level of satisfaction and aspiration. The responses to the call-for-papers had been overwhelming – both from China and from overseas. Unfortunately, many manuscripts from prestigious institutions could not be accepted due to the reviewing outcomes and our capacity constraints. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for all of the reviewers who helped us maintain the high quality of manuscripts included in the proceedings published by IEEE. We would also like to extend our thanks to the members of the organizing team for their hard work. We are now optimistic and full of hope about getting the proceedings of ICIM2017 covered by IEEE Xplore, Ei and Scopus in due course. We appreciate that the authors of ICIM2017 may want to maximize the popularity of their papers. And we will try our best to support them in their endeavors. Let us wish that all the participants of ICIM2017 will have a wonderful and fruitful time at the conference, and that our oversea guests will enjoy their sojourn in Chengdu in this beautiful April.
