| Abstract | This was a webinar organised by CETI (University of Westminster) Module leaders play a vital role in the smooth functioning of higher education (HE) institutions, as they are key to the design, delivery, and assessment of individual modules. They ensure that the curriculum meets academic standards while addressing the needs of students. However, many institutions face challenges in adequately preparing and supporting module leaders, whether they are new to academia, practitioner-teachers, or part-time staff, including a shortage of professional development opportunities, the need for flexible training options, and keeping up with technological advancements This session will offer practical insights into designing and delivering effective training for module leaders, fostering a community of practice, and ensuring continuous professional development. Attendees will walk away with solutions for developing a flexible, comprehensive and engaging training programme for module leaders that supports both short-term success and long-term growth in their roles. |
